My story

Hello. I am Aggie, a British-Italian photographer who grew up near Florence in a family of artists. Photography has taken me around the world and I have been fortunate to live and work in many places. Now I divide my time between Florence, Milan, and the English countryside, and I photograph weddings across Italy and throughout Europe. In 2013 I founded Love Folio and since then I have devoted my practice to thoughtful, contemporary wedding photography.

I began with painting and cinema, which taught me how to look. Over time I realised that photography is where design and storytelling meet real life. I was drawn to the precision of a single frame and to the way a sequence of images can hold the shape of a day. Years of work in documentary and editorial photography refined my craft. My work has been recognised by the Sony World Photography Awards, the Wellcome Photo Prize, and the Italy Photo Award, and has appeared in Vogue, Vanity Fair, Monocle, Elle, and Marie Claire, among others.

This background shapes how I approach a wedding. I am calm and observant. I read the light and the room and move with the pace of the celebration. I give clear direction when it is helpful and I step back when a moment needs space. I like images that feel unforced, with a balance between close, intimate frames and wider scenes that hold the setting and the atmosphere you have chosen.

My work is based on getting to know you and begins long before your wedding day. I like to understand how you imagine your wedding and what feels important to you, about your family, your celebration, your venue. We speak about the locations, the flow of the day, and any details or traditions that carry meaning. This preparation allows you to be fully present while I look after what is happening in front of the camera and around it.

On the day itself I work with a documentary instinct and a refined sense of composition. I pay close attention to structure and to texture. The line of a dress against stone floors. The way light moves through a room. A quiet moment on a balcony while the music continues inside. I am there for the major moments, but I am equally interested in the smaller gestures that link them. My aim is for the photographs to feel like a true reflection of your day, with a clarity and elegance.

I work with a limited number of weddings each year in order to give each commission the attention it deserves. For couples who value a calm presence and a contemporary yet understated aesthetic, I offer a way of seeing that is both thoughtful and imaginative. If this feels close to what you are looking for, I would be glad to hear about your plans in Italy or elsewhere in Europe.
